Send a email msg directly to the tech support dept (hs.aquaristik@t-online.de) in AquaMedic as they're very responsive based on my past experience.

Unfortunately this is the situation in Singapore market where "most" suppliers are order takers only and can't provide the technical expertise when you need. They also tend to "sell" you oversize unit rather than what your tank requirements are.

Just out of courisity, which model r u using?

Should not happen. Just make sure that the two dots at the output piping are aligned. This will provide max outflow, so the skimmer will not "overcook".
