Firefish Goby missing

I just bought 3 x firefish goby 3 days ago and introduced to my tank. 10 mins after introducing , my blue tang was cheasing goby. 5 mins later all of them disappear from the sight. Since than , I only see 1 goby hiding and comeout from the cave.

Could that be the rest are MIA or just hidding ? Any experience to share ?

Hmm..most likely one firegoby bullied the rest into hiding. Happened to me before. Don't believe keeping firegobies of any type in any number more than 1 now..

I've lot of rock and sand to hide. I hope they are hiding and comming out very soon.

In your case, what happened ? they come out later or ....

ive a pair each of fire goby; purple fire n scissortail....all 3 pair stay happily on their own like the clown pair

Keep an eye on the pair of purple firegobies. They are one of the more territorial firefish. Will eventually end up bullying your normal firefish once they get big enough. Happened to me. Had both species doing well together. The purple firefish grew to 3/4 the size of the firefish and then started bullying it. Now the normal firefish does'nt dare swim out when the purple bugger is out.

They should do fine as long as they stick to their own corners. My purple firefish seems determined to claim the whole tank.

I use to have 2 firefishes and they are very timid, though read about they are territorial but never experienced before. Didn't know that their purple brother so garang one. Thanks for the info Fuel

Try to turn the the tanl light in the morning.

Feed the rest of the fish with a little fish at first gradully increase the food. (use the smallest size of food)

Mine works.

However is known that newly tro fire goby will not come out ready unless they can custom to your tank. Could takes up to a week or 2.

Geez mime all 3 seem to be missing. Haven't seem them for 2 days now.

Could that be JI group kiddnap them ? Haaa all my 12$ gone ?

mine don't look garang to me......put in a 6 line warrse (smaller then it) and it when into hidding for 1 month!!!! though it was dead, but manage to spot its head popping out of one of the rock....gave the 6-line away and it started coming out like nothing happen......

unforutnately, 1 week later.....skimmer broke down, not enough o2 for the night and it died....

Did you find their body to determind that they are RIP ?

So far I see no body floting around or Anemonia spike.

May be my BT was bullying them.

yeap.....saw it 'crawling' on the sandbed then flip....

kind of think of it....my firefish was bullied by th BT when it frist got into the tank....it keeps hidding in a particular pieice of rock....what i did was to move the rocks around, this forces it to come out - at least for food....

after 2 weeks of bullying, i think the BT and firefish finally sort out their differences and start living happyliy together....until the #$#@$ 6-line came....

Hmm seem like I need to patient than.

Saw 1 of them 2 days ago and so far no body floting. I guess they have enough food in the cave since uneaten frozen brain shrimp happened to be flowed in there.

dun worry,

they should be still live and kicking just "shy and bullied".

give them some time u will see them.

try feeding them early in the morning with dim light on.

i feed others fish with frozen brine shrimp soak with garlic. semll should get their attention if they are hungry.

Drop small amount which you think they might be hiding at that corner.

4th day, search and resuce action taken, could not even find their remain.

Geez what is going on my tank is only 3' and could not find any 1 of 3 missing.

Could be UFO ?
