Full harvest from ATS after running for about 3 months.

Currently my tank is facing low po4 issue but has been resolved hopefully.

My guess is the GAC that I put which absorb it. Have removed it and now still monitoring.

After reading Leon thread on the maintenance of the UV, I decided to dismantle mine to wash and see. To my shocking, the quartz tube is full of dried salt. I remember once I forget to turn on the pump for 1 day after water change. That might be the reason - overheating.

After:

It might affect the performance of the UV if not properly maintained.

Went to DE to did a quick water test. Below are the results. However, have some diff with my home test kit.

Not sure which is more accurate though.

Home Test:

PO4 - 0 (hanna)
NO3 - 1 (nyos)
KH - 8.9 (hanna)
CA - 425 (nyos)
MG - 1260 (nyos)

DE Test:

I recently bought 4 new blue eye Anthias and 1 of them turning to female! That’s fast, only 2 weeks in tank.

One useful tip shared by Leon..

Add a egg crate inside the Clarisea.. helps to straighten the fleece and reduce overlap / jam issue..
