It's evil and will eat your fish. Remove it asap.

Roger that.

Would that be the reason/ explaination of my recent MIA algae benny?

Methods to remove the crab? As you can see that it is staying quite near to the sea bed thus it will be a stressful job to remove all the LR before I can reach it. So any good suggestion?

You have any other fish in the tank? If not a predatory fish like a trigger or a snowflake moray would be a solution. If you have fish you could try to trap the crab using bait. Wait till your lights are off and anchor a piece of market prawn into the sand bed near the front of your tank. Observe and get ready to grab the crab with your hands once it starts moving onto the bait.

Always something more important than fish.

I just nuked two of these brown hairy crabs from my acros. Still got one more which managed to hide deep into my acro. The acro already encrusted so cannot take it out.

I just used my pincers to crushed them to instant death and then my cleaner shrimps had a good supper after that.

Luckily most of the crabs are the orange ones. I've another black one and white bodied ones as well. I think the difference is in the craw, if it had the small tiny craws then those are the good ones, those that had the larger craws like those brown hairy legs one then kill on sight.

hmmm, IMHO, looks evil. kill it, dun give chance. later regret. :P

u can try some of the crab traps that some of the reefers invented. e.g. chicken essence bottle method. do a search on crab traps. u will find more methods. ;)
