My polyp coral is not opening.

When I bought it and placed it in the aquarium, it opened for a day, then gradually it starts to close till now, only a few are left opening. Why?

Your light intensity /watt? any nible itchy fish inside your tank?

hmm.. a lemon goby and a tomato clown. light is normal 15W PL light, blue and white. tank is 2 ft.

PL light is 15 W or 55w?? anyway most prob your light not enough.The polyps and zoos need light.

Sorry to hijack ur thread. I have a 1ft tank with one 9w white and one blue. Is that enough? coz my polys and zoo are not opening. As for my rest of the coral.. hammer, bubble, mushrooms are doing fine. I check my parameters, all are acceptable.

NH4- undectable

Nitrate -undectable

Cal: a bit low 350

salinity: 1.026

What else can i do?
