Making corals stay

Hi

Anyone out there has any methods to glue or epoxy corals to rocks? I'm trying out this "Marine Goo" silicon but it just hardens in water. Any brands of adhesives to recommend? Thanks!

use epoxy putty....it cures underwater and i dun think it is toxic...a lot of reefers use that too...

Whatever brand don't choose Alteco's A+B Epo-putty(Underwater), available in most hardware shops here. Got this email from the sales rep :

The past posts were very helpful... din realise can even use super glue!

Lead content in most epoxy if high and will eventually leech. Not to mention a range of others unpleasant stuff.

Silicon glue is a much better and safer bet, once cured.

it works like an epoxy putty.... cures fast n strong even under water

nah.... sealant. Same stuff that they use to hold ya tank together!

Deltec epoxy is cool. They are purple in colour much like coralline algae A bit ex but the colour not as stark as the whitish epoxies when placed in the tank.

And if you don't have enough coralline algae, this is a good temporary substitute........ ..... afraid not.

Thats wat I used... but brand is 'marine goo'. Not the gun-type though... comes in a tube. The sealant just harden and lost its adhesiveness... just kept sticking to my fingers, much like pee sai! Went to get the Wessbond epoxy, going to try later... hope it works.
