Possible to propagate bubbles ?

I have a bubble that has a small bone-base when it was small.

Now it grown and expand way too big for the base, almost to become a ball, encompassing the entire base.

How, or is it possible, to frag it or is there anything I can do to make/change its base to a larger one ?
