Reefers,

This is a repost as I was in the wrong section, very sorry

Reefers,

Can anyone advise me the followings

1. A good CO2 regulator.

2. I heard reefers mention about solenoid and something about linking PH meter.

I am so confused as regards to this subject.

I have recently brought a CO tank but still thinking as which regulator to purchase and which ty. It for my new Koralin 1501 CR and my 5 feet tank.

regards

I'm also looking for a CO2 needle valve regulator. Anyone can recommend a good and reliable brand that has constant bubble count? How much is it?

I also heard about a flow meter instead of needle valve regulator. Is this available in Singapore? What brand and how much?

Thanks,

Patrick

Hi there. Here's an article http://web.singnet.com.sg/~teosb1/diy-co2.html which i think sheds some light on your questions. I followed the guidelines there and got the co2 running nicely. Got the CO2 tanks for LFS though.

My only added comment is instead of running to all those different places for different parts, Teck Siong Huat Hardware, Blk 28 Kelantan Road 01-137 (62936422) seems to be THE one stop shop for everything - values, gauges, value adaptors (very important!), solenoid (the Beaver brand one IS good but I am not sure Teck Siong Huat carries it). To make sure everything fits I brought everthing (including tanks) to Teck's. Guy there is very friendly and he gave me good recommendations on brands etc.

good luck and have loads of fun!

hi freddychin,

i hv heard pretty good reviews on dernerlle CO2 regulator b4......... of coz if u r hardcore, then u might wanna go for lab grade precision. btw, i noticed u r using a korallin C1501 for ur 5 ft reef. i seriously doubt IMHO that it is going to be enuff if u r going for sps. ;)

for my tank size (see signature) , my C1501 is oredi barely enuff to run my tank (b4 it crashed) :cry2: for 60% sps dominated reef. i m using a milwaukee dual gauge regulator wif solenoid valve and bubble count is at abt 2 bubbles/ sec.

juz me 2 cents.
