hi guys,

where can i find 10K PL light that are not expensive? Went to many FLS but many are selling at S$50-S$60 for 1tube.

pls advise where can get not so expensive FL tube. My pocket not deep enough to buy all those expensive FL light.

I heard that you can buy them at Nature Aquarium (not sure of location, check the telephone directory) for $30 per 2 10000k tubes. You may want to go take a look.

Nature Aquarium is somewhere opposite Thomas Medical Centre. I remember it is block number 1 and the shop is facing the main road.

if you dun mind, you could get a Phillip 865 6500K FL tube, it's available in 2' & 4' less than $5:D... add an actinic bulb with each Phillip FL tube and it should be good enought

For $50 bucks, you could probably get the 55watts tube. The common 36w should be way lower. However, Coralife's 36W is about $50, whereas Aqualux's is like half of that, or less. HTH

1 question guys

should i mix 6500k wif 10k?noticed Ach used them-

actual light had 2x 6500k PL & 2x 10k PL (all 36w)

found that the 6500k too yellowish.so i took them out so just running the 2x 10k in that ballast.

i have 2 sets of these(i using one set of 2x PL 10k & an additional 1x FL 50/50+1x FL acitinic).

4ft, Mainly for Fish wif a sparse array of soft corals/polyps & a number of anemones.

I think they only stock actinic FL of various length and 10000K 36watts

the other bulbs are for freshwater

You can try Marine Life Hobbielist at Hong Leong Garden Shopping Centre they have 55wattPL-L Aqualux 10,000K and 55watt PL-L Agualux Blue tube too at $35 each I think and also other type too.
