Dennerle
Hi all Anyone is using magnetic glass cleaner for your fish tank? Would like to check if this is safe for the silicone lining of fish tank? I have seen people swiping on their glass and they kinda need to use alot of force to move it till the point the tank is like moving and the fish tank definitely moves sway abit. Through such force..Will the silicone eventually lose the grip and cause leakages? SRC Member Otaku Reefer Posted November 24, 2020 SRC Member Share Posted November 24, 2020 most reefers using magnetic glass cleaners, probably would advise u not to oversize too much such that magnet is gripping so strong that u need a large force to move it resulting in the tank swaying, otherwise just get the correct magnet to the correct glass thickness. For safety, its best to slide the magnet to connect rather than straight on connect as u risk smashing the glass or clamp ur fingersNormally i would avoid using the sharp ends of the blades and go clean the silicone seam. Also not to use too much force to clean the glass in a bid to get things done quick, slow and steady cleaning and u shld be good.Hope this helpsSent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app

The sound is very deafening and threatening if done that way. Will take note to slowly glide through the glass instead of gliding fast Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app Quote Equipment • 60cm x 45cm x 50cm tank • Chiller at 25 to 26 Celsius • OASE Biomaster 250 • 75W lighting • Jebao SOW-5M Wavemaker • RODI water with 25% weekly water change • no protein skimmer/ no calcium reactor Livestock ▪︎2 Ocellaris Clown ▪︎1 White Bellied Yellow Wrasse ▪︎1 Yellow Tang ▪︎2 Green-Blue Chromis ▪︎1 Orange Spotted Goby ▪︎1 Tailspot Blenny ▪︎1 Tiger Pistol Shrimp
