can doctor fish cure white spot

Well more or less lor... some reefers say they only pick the dead cells while others say they feed on parasites/ white spots, while others say they are of little use and shouldnt be kept for they die in a week. while some others say that if the supply of parasites run out, theyre gone and BLAHBLAHBLAH...

But, in my books, its true that they are much better than CS, and they eat BS, and they enjoy some algae and that they can last for longer than a month. You should really try to get one that looks healthy and start picking at ur net when u dip the net in. My longest record was 3 months. Maybe u could beat that :D anyway good luck, and ur water parameters must be good.

They cant cure white spot...but if the fish immune system is upz...they'll fight it off easily.

Try feeding the tangs healthy food(best soaked in garlic to provide stronger immune system --> wont cure though)

Provide good water parameter and dun stress the fishes.

Another fish that is tougher and does basically the same thing as Doc Wrasse or cleaner shrimp in this respect is the neon gobies.

Try them and you'll never bother about getting Doc wrasse anymore.

The cleaner wrasse does not really eat white spot. It will only eat larger ectoparasites like isopods, etc. They might help fishes recover faster by keeping the wound clean by eating septic tissue to prevent further spread of infection.

Always something more important than fish.

I find doctor fish not very lasting. I bought 2 of them from PM and both of them up lorry in less than a week. The latest one I bought is a bigger one from Farmart and seems to last for 1 month already. Already eating mysis shrimp. Hope it will survive.
