Achilles Tang
Some photos are a little overexposed though. What camera and settings do you use? Any kind of strobe? No diffuser used?
SRC Member huanjie Posted June 16, 2004 Author SRC Member Share Posted June 16, 2004 I am using The Canon 300D rebel with single Sea & Sea 90 auto strobe. I thought the strobe is suppose to be auto ! SRC Member nleong Posted June 17, 2004 SRC Member Share Posted June 17, 2004 rich man... How much did you pay for the housing and the port huh ? and always want to ask, how do you do focusing underwater when using SLR ? Especially macro, you can't really do auto focusing, must switch the manual mode.

Especially macro, you can't really do auto focusing, must switch the manual mode. Using the housing from 10Bar, the cheapest housing I can find in the market. The housing comes with a magnifier that magnify the view finder , so, even with the mask, still can see the whole frame under water, and focusing point can be set with camera. fortuntately the macro of the 300d's orginal lenses is good enough, and using a flat port improve the marco capability. (dont need to switch macro mode with the lense) Only draw back is wide angle, even though its 18 mm, but its only 28 mm on land becos of sensor size and using a flat port housing , its becomes 35 mm.
