Got a MarcoAlgae plant from sentosa beach

hi i got a a Brown marine plant with brown or dark greenish leaves with air sacs stuck to it .i check in the internet saying it is a marcoalgae . i pluck from sentosa beach shoreline ,wash it and then stuck it to the sand now wonder it is harmful anot? it is a plant with leaves and air sacs in it growing from a small rock .

care to know the species and help me diff marcoalgae harmfuls and non harmful .

Looks like those plants that my wife called "grapes" fruit thingy found in LFS.

yah but is it helpful to remove nitrate?

If it grows, yes, as nutrients is used up...

The questions is how fast can it grows, and implication how likely the algae going asexual which might be harmful to the tank.....
