1 compartment is for filter media and another compartment is for return pump. Water will flow from the main tank to the filter media compartment and then to the return compartment. Water is pumped from return compartment to the main tank using pump.

so the water flow back to the tank through a pipe? i actually useing 2ft to keep maine, thought of upgrade, but due to the are for fish swim is only 2.5ft is like no different of upgrading... and also no transport to transport back the tank, car cannot put leh
