Which chiller noisier?

Resun the old batch is quite loud.. a mini subwoofer..

new one I am not sure.

The Atman brand I tik got some bugs, I can't recall.

Someone pointed to me.

Suggest u go with the new Resun. Ask some users abt it.

Its noisy, but at least it does performance within its limit.

hi bro bwilly, can u explain what do u mean by some bug....currently i m running a 1/2 hp atman chiller...just did a modification...so far quite satisfied with the performance...hence was curious to know what is this 'bug'...is that a remedy for it..

i think the bug bwilly is referring to is within the pcb of the internal temp thermostat controller itself. if u did a mod as i had on the temp controller, i.e. hooking on to a external thermostat controller (FOX), u will hv no problem liaoz.

IMHO, i still think Atman chiller works better than the resun (new or old). Quite a few reefers hv been to my place and all stated that the atman is quieter than resun.

The old resun has a noisy fan and cut in, cut out noise for the compressor.

The new resun has silent fan noise but the cut out sound for compressor is still noisy. I have a resun 650 and tried to modify the controls to branded items but seems its very properly sealed so better not modify it yet till warranty finishes. So now only the cut off sound on compressor is not up to my requirements but the sound is still bearable, not so loud.

Now plan to re-upgrade my chiller again so not going to do anything on it at all, cuz selling it off. Wonder why Im so addicted to chiller? This resun chiller is only 4 mths old!

btw for your info its worth to buy.

atman has only 1c temperature differentiate.

some chillers roar after been used for some months.

all new stuffs sound veri quiet.

i suspect that the bug is 0.5 degree rather than 1 degree. therefore frequent cutting in and out of the comp which will result in lesser lfe span for the comp too. RR a sleeping tiger , i din know that....... hv not owned a RR b4. no wonder......

hi, thank for the infor on the bug....i just did a modi....also..at the same time tune the chiller from max tempertaure of 27 and lowest at 24...cut off every 3 degree....however the strange thing is that my tank is covered w water droplets every now and then..i understand that it was because of condensation( if i use the correct term) been out of touch w this scientific term., So i tune it down to 29 and 26...still i encounter the same situation....b4 the modi...i was running the chiller at 27 and i dun experience this...is this normal....!!!! do u guys experience such situation w your chillers.....pls advise

hey every atman chilelr also have to mod the thermostat?? Thinking of getting one but scared got bug... Every set also got this bug ah? got warranty? can get the ATMAN ppl to come fix or not? Or have to modify myself? how to modify???
