which LFS are reliable to buy LS from?

Recommended Posts

cycling finally over? yay! (= but on the more serious side, do consider letting your tank run slightly longer first. like another two weeks to a month. this is to ensure a complete cycle and to factor in any irregularities. (=

for LS, I normally go to Coralfarm, Marine Life, EAquarist, LCK 110. for corals, I normally go to EAquarist *they bring in very nice buttons!*, Marine Life and T95. :P

Congrats on your 1st tank! Piece of simple advice though, pls stock up slowly and control your urges, dun go into a buying frenzy. ;)

Like what Terry said, for fishes and LS, best i have seen is Coralfarm and Marinelife, always impressed by the quality of their LS. For corals, i normally go LCK110, Pasir Ris Farms or T95...nice places to do window shopping too..

so far... i have never come across a good LFS / farm.... maybe my demand is to high or i have not been to enough LFS/Farm for the past 2 yrs....

For me, i would consider a good LFS/Farm if they:

1) dont sell 1/2 dying LS

2) dont give rubbish comment like "all coral is easy to keep" or "it is common for coral to die, u just need to top up your LS from time to time."

you just have to depend on your experience and some luck when going for shopping...

Hi

I as at Bio Ocean for the 2nd time and I have another bad felling about the place.

First trip wanted to purchase a copperband. As I am new to this hobby, I paid $12 for it. i was told it was a good price....imagine how upset I was to find Aquastar selling at $6 or 6 for $38.

Today gave them another chance...but he wanted to charge me $5 for a blue devil. This is dispite telling me all blue deveil is at $2 before I choose the fish.

He also told me that wrasse is at $3, but after packing demaned $6 for it.

I will boycott this shop from now on.

I still prefer Reborn and the one at Hong Leong Garden, really honest and give good advise.

In my opinion the 2 shops that are good would be Coralfarm and Sealife.

Coralfarm for their LS and Sealife for their advise + (sometimes LS).
