now my branch coral and anemone looks dead

I think usually if U dose medicine to yr tank... It will do some harm to yr corals.. Got to remove either the fish or the corals before U dose anything.

u should take out the fish, put them in a tub of SW and cure them.. then put the fish back in.. u should know that some corals and invertebrates are extremely sensitive to copper medications..

Little chance of recovery. Copper will also stain your tank silicone, substrate, LR and plastic stuff. It means more or less you will have to replace everything if you want to keep inverts.

Sorry to say that your reef tank is gone.

Remove everything and start bleaching the whole tank to get rid of the Copper.

Dude, copper & corals don't mix.

Everything will have copper- sand,LR,Tank,Water. Can become a FO now unless u change everything as per tanzy's advise.

this happen to me once... what i did... place Chemi-pure (carbon) to remove the copper... after 2-3 days, your coral should be ok as anemonies are tough. u will need to replace Chemi-pure after this to encourage good bacterial growth.

Actually I would have preferred to get the fishes out slowly and letting it die instead of pouring in the medicine.. But what's done cannot be.....

Even after using resins or chemi-pure, copper will still adhere to the glass panels, sand, LR etc etc. You'll have to replace everything. Give the tank a good scrubbing as well to get rid of residual copper.

Actually if you read up abit more, you'll realise that most books will tell you to never never never add copper to your main tank. Everything will die, except your fishes....

may be u can use polyfilter or carbon to remove the copper if u r not going to redo the whole setup

Medications such as 1) Copper Sulphate, 2) Copper Sulphate and Formalin, 3) Quinine Sulphate and 4) Malachite Green often cause serious toxicity problems for fish after their administration. These and other medications can remain in the water for long periods causing toxic overdosage. The POLY-FILTER will remove parasite medication rapidly without removing or effecting beneficial trace elements from the water. For parasite treatment using chellated forms of medication, remove the POLY-FILTER and add the prescribed medication to the water. Allow sufficient time for a cure of the diseased fish. Replace the POLY-FILTER and add the prescribed medication to the water. Allow sufficient time for a cure of the diseased fish. Replace the POLY-FILTER, preferably in a power filter and the remaining toxic medication will be removed from the water by the POLY-FILTER. After three days remove the POLY-FILTER and replace with a new POLY-FILTER. Save the POLY-FILTER used for medication removal as it can be reused for subsequent medication removal of parasite medication.

move the coral to the quarratine tank, u should. water to clear, u wait and carbon/polyfilter to clear up. take a while, it will.

may be the force be with u and copper away from u
