you've been fooled into thinkin that's a tank spade.

i think its more like curing LR in tank on a permanant basis. A few leathers that are changed every month(i wonder why hmmm) & a few damsels....which i always see different ones(i wonder why again hmmm)can it be considered a reef tank from the dead sea?

seawater-

where is CHIJMAS?? chijmes, i only seen a tank in the restaurant but its FO.

wisma- FO

Airport- FO....unless u count the anemones

CK tangs have one in the cosmetics section- but only a few corals.

Liquid room(@sound bar) has one-also free to look.

Parc Palais use to have a huge potato cod, recently died cause chemicals leaked in while they were cleaning the swimming pool.

Furniture mall at beach road has 2 tanks. One reef partition & another damsel and macro algae alsoa partition.

The Office at the basement of Hard Rock has a small reef tank -maybe 3ft, can stand at the door to see in.

Most of the public tanks are setup by AQTechnic.... and mostly soft corals and lots of LR... nothing spectacular. Boring actually.

The Parc Palais poolside tanks are cool.... I always must spend some time gazing at the tank when I visit my friend. I think they use 1000 watters to light the tank!

I think the biggest public reef tank is one at Paragon at the SQ PPS club lounge. Must be at least 10 foot long.

Very boring, though. All rock, and hardly any corals, and of those, only a couple of softies and mushrooms.

SQ lounge at Changi has 2 'reef' tanks. They contain dying softies, lots of fish with HLLE and helluva cyano problem!

Changi T2 Arrival Hall (near BK) has a tank with a monster size of some eel. I thought it was a big fat fish when I saw it protruding from a hole in one of their LR... but upon closer inspection, its a long long "fish" and it takes in water through the mouth, releasing the water through 2 holes behind its head. So it must be an eel. Gross.

Another not very fantastic tank is in the cosmetics section of Tangs.

French cosmetic giant, LAMER's, counters always have a marine tank. I still can't guess the purpose but it's good cos my wife can shop while I look at the tank and the counter ladies! :yeah:

The tank and ladies not bad but the price of cosmetic is super Ex. If your partner start to look at the cosmetic, then better walk away! Ha Ha

I think (marine) therefore I am

The La Mer tanks are probably the best kept of the public tanks (but that's not saying much 'cause all public tanks generally sucks)

They definitely are the most expensive. Luckily, my wife has the sense not to go there until (she says) she is 50 years old. Their product supposedly really works, as opposed to the other brands.

Apparently, they use natural extracts from algae to make their cosmetics. That's why they have marine tanks. It was founded by the children of a NASA scientist that got horribly burned. He researched years to find a way to cure his scars, but would never reveal his formula. When he died, he burned the formula. His children thought it would be a waste (of good money!!), so they went through his old research notes and pieced it together. But apparently the formula is not the best one 'cause there were later versions by their dad which were better.

Anyway, this is probably is another marketing gimmick.

By the way, the preferred terms for the French and the Germans (amongst Americans) is

"The Axis of Weasel"
