giantbicycle
hi..Till date,It have not distrub my Correca at all,and i heard it clearner shrimp is the most senseative in the sence that it will keep distrubing your clams when the clams is either week or already.. .BUt if your clams is in good condition,By right, It should not distrub your clams.. 1 or 2 fishes...HMm,you can try keeping a Six line wrasser which is helpful and bennificial for your clams incase there is (cowei snails or pyramid snails) which is harmful for your clams.. what kind of snails u want to keep? turbo , mexcian ..ETC, i have been keeping my with 6Turbo's ..No problem at all...You can read the few threads in this clam section and you can find some more information.. Hope all this may helps ,Just my 2cents.. Regards:edwan
SRC Member ryz Posted June 10, 2004 SRC Member Share Posted June 10, 2004 Cleaner shrimp disturbs both my clams(Just bought one yesterday! ) It perches on the shell and rest on it... some times walking all over the mantle even.. its whiskers so long, keep touching the mantle, seems to be stressing it... therefore last night I finally decided to catch them out... spent 3 hours trying to catch the 5 buggers out. Caught 4 only threw in refugium. Quote Live and Let Live

terryansimon
my cleaner shrimps or fire shrimps never disturbed my clams at all...when I still had clams that is. but once they started dying, they moved in for the kill. like specially trained elite forces. here today, gone tomorrow. *mutters*
Anemone
hmm.... lots of conflicting experiences. hmm... i suppose in a 2 feet there's more chance of the shrimps disturbing the clams... wat do u guys think? should i leave them in? my soon to be converted tank is a 2 feet tank. will not have much rocks in. maximise space for clams. SRC Member JustinK Posted June 10, 2004 SRC Member Share Posted June 10, 2004 just put fire shrimps? they colour up the tank really well if you ask me. terryansimon
My Fire Shrimps always hiding... but the colour too nice to resist, even when i only see them during feeding time... if you get more than four fire shrimps, they tend to group together and show themselves. my mum is thinking of adding on to the existing six in fact.
