Anyone using Seachem nitrate test kit?

Hi guys, was wondering if anyone's had the same results before.

The nitrate test kit has a colour scale based on pink to red........I tested my water and the colour came out a very light orange instead. The colour intensity is the same as if zero nitrates were to come our, but different colour.

I tested on our tap water- the reading was zero, with the correct slight pink colour.

I'm quite puzzeld.

Have you used the standard reagent to test your kit? I think the orange could mean that your nitrate is off the scale. Try diluting the sample by half and test again. If it is still orange, dilute by half again.

Have you check with the FAQ on Seachem's site?

They recommend that u shake & tap the powder regent on something hard.

Be careful that the test kits are not old.

Old test kit solutions are inaccurate and may give false readings.
