placement of your pH/temp probe

just want to find out where you guys put your probes....I'm thinking of relocating mine to the main tank from the sump itself.

i placed the temp probe for my chiller control in my main tank and the pH probe for my pH controller in a smal container in my ref.

l place it in my sump ... thought that the water in the sump is the same as in the main tank ... temp should be the same ??
