Thanks for the advice.... But I'm trying to see if the predators can survive relying only on my current setup.. Predators are supossed to be more hardy....:evil:

Anyway I've been cycling the tank for about 6 months before i added the 1st lionfish..

If my tank crashes again :cry2::cry2: then I really have to relook at my setup.. Then I'll ask some of the bros here on how to do it properly....

Another Lionfish... I juz buy only coz it looks cute but i dun know exact species. Can anyone enlighten me. Thanks..  :thanks:

This is a zebra dwarf lion. Nice specimen. How big is it? Has it been weaned to frozen yet? Been with you for long? Although lionfish are predators, they are actually quite docile by nature, and they only kill for food. Other than that, they rarely harass other fishes. On the contrary, given their long finnage and slow swimming posture, they sometimes fall into victims of bullies, which may nip their fins whenever opportunity strikes. Does your trigger bully your lion?

BTW, you may want to pay attention to your hawkfish. If it's too small, it may eventually become food for your lion or angler. And Reefbum is right, you may also want to monitor your bioload too.

I think u should think again before saying this.Keeping marines consist not only of money but also patience.........u dont buy because of cuteness or cheap.....This was also how i started but i learnt it the hard way......

PS:no offence.Hope i dun discriminate anyone....... :thanks:

hey guys, think he has proven his patience by cycling his tank for 6 mths..i couldn't do it myself :P

Maybe wat he meant was, buying the fish even though he did not know wat the name was..as simple as tat.

for his tank size, think with regular water change n not over feeding..should be ok. :D

tks for your advice..the lion is with me for about 2 mths, bout 2 inches. so far no sign of bullying..trigger is about 2 wks old.

think the hawkfish is too big for the lions..a bit worried about the angler though, keeping my fingers crossed.

think i am about done with the stocking.. ;):thanks:
