New idea for tank

Hi guys,

Recently paid the Bloomberg office a visit again. As some of you might know, there are about 5 or 6 reef tanks in there. This time I noticed something which was very different from the way I usually stack my rocks. Usually, I have them way up high in the water column, sometimes even protruding from the water surface, and there is usually a cave beneath them. This height is usually reserved for light loving corals or clams. I saw a tank there that has sort of low lying rocks, with at least 2ft of water above the highest piece of rock - this gives the tank a capacity to accomodate more fishes I think, especially those that are constantly swimming above the rocks in actual reefs. Also a fish could now swim right across the tank without running into any obstacles, and yet have the safety of running for cover within the rock structures beneath it. This is partly the reason why I am selling some of my precious live rocks right now.

I have re-stacked some of the rockwork - and would contribute a picture soon. Cheers....
