hi, anyone using Red Sea Prizm Protein Skimmer (hang-on with venturi pump inside). Is your very noisy when running? will the "collection cup" get overflow?

can anyone advise me on what is the ideal adjustment for its water flow?

used to hv it till i sold it off yesterday. :)

IMHO, noise is acceptable.

collection cup hv not been overflown with skimate b4.

ideal adjustment varies from tank to tank as diff tank hv diff SG, etc. a good guide will be abt 2cm off the bottom of the o ring.

mine almost everyday overflow :)

dunno how to adjust :) shame on that.....

do a search on red sea prizm in src, u should be able to find out more info regarding the water level. but do take note that the rec water level varies from tank to tank as we hv diff tank parameters. ;)

hi, sorry for the misleading Hondace, referring to my previous statement -->"dunno how to adjust" Actually, what i meant was that, i dun really know what is the "IDEAL/ CORRECT" adjustment for the black lever, after did some search, some reefers suggested that to adjust the water level 2-3cm below the black "O" ring, but, by doing that, i can hardly see anything(foam) flow into collection cup :(

but according to the person, it's NORMAL, it will eventually works after 2-3days. i think i am too "kan cheong" :) worry my Prizm not working properly.....

so, my dear fellow reefers, care to share what's your "water level --base on the O ring"? below? above?

thanks
