Hi, as above, i have just added a MH and wants to caculate the total amount of consumption of electricity ? can any kind soul out there tell me how to calculate the amount of electricity spend on my fish tank a month? THANKs..i tried searching around SRC but cant find...Appericite much...

Energy = Power x Time...

example....2kW x 2hrs = 4kW/hr

rate of electricity...that you may want to check with PUB website. (= multiply the rate *example....0.168cents/kW/hr x 4kW/hr*

Should be "kWh" not "kW/hr".

Anyway, calculation's correct.

Think there should be 2 rates if you refer to your bills.

First one is a lower rate.

But once you cross a quota, the second rate applies thereafter.

Should be "kWh" not "kW/hr".

Anyway, calculation's correct.

There is only one rate.

If you see two rates, that is because there a price fluctuation ( increase or decreas) from a certain dates onwards.

Note : our billing cycle do not start at the beginning of the month.

got a program here that can help u calculate the running cost of yr aquarium.. can go try.. i find it quite useful.. no need to do so much calculations. just key in yr wattage and amt of time switched on..
