can connect 2 tubes of 25w fl to 1 40w ebalast

hi all i try to connect 2 tubes of 25watts fl tube to 1 X 40 watts e-ballast. but only one tube will light up.

why .. ?

Either the watts too high or u connected the wires wrongly,

i DIYed my 2x24w T5 under a 40w e-ballast, it can work but i connected the wires wrongly

but i suspect the balast is not 40W ..

oops wrong info, if your ballast is a 40w e-ballast than it can run only "1" tube, 2 cannot.

just get a new ballast, only $30-$40+ only

the ballast must be for a 2 tube , here is a pic of my ballast

Hmm... isn't the wattage supposed to add up .. so if 25 + 25 = 50 watts .. then run on a 40W cannot meh .. ??

ur ballast must be rated at a wattage slightly higher than the tubes added up... if not one won't light.
