Tank specs? Something is stressing your LPS causing them to bleach. Think you should address this problem before buying more corals?

i'm using a 150w MH...with 2 pl blue light. The is a new tank and is about 3 month old. I use most of the LR from my friends mature tank n my previous tank to cycle the tank.

realised that if u keep shifting ur corals and stressing them they will expell the zooxanthellae algae causing it to bleach... happened to few of my LPS

i'm using a 150w MH...

The bleaching problem could be due to your lights.

Wat kind of MH 150W you are using and wat bulb.

The UV shield in the 150W bulb is not strong for some China brand. That will bleach your tank badly.

Btw, u probably have not gone thru the complete cycling process. U shd hv 0 readin for NO2 with a fully cycled tank.

FYI, the 1260 u got is 2400l/hr

i dont think the problem is the light.... i have kept one colony of sps frag for 3 months ... it colour up.......... i think the main culprit is either u stressing it up or ur tank haven fully cycle..... for now i suggest that u dont move the corals much.... let it be undisturbed.......

Becareful of ur batfish, it'll outgrow your tank. It needs lots of space to swim around in. Anyway nice tank you have.
