Hi!! ;)

I bumped into the above pumps and I like their concept for creating a variable current in the aquarium. Planing to get one with 1000L/h and one with 500 L/h to create uneven and random water currents in the tank. my only worry is that they look a bit delicate...

Plus with their small & dicrete prefilter sponge I should avoid any accidents with the future anemone  I plan to introduce in the tank.

Anybody using those pumps? any feedback on them? :thanks:

Cheers

Regular maintenance is required in order to enjoy the rotating features, else it will just get stuck in one angle..........I'm using 2 x eden 228 stuck position for 4mths already, so far so good.

Wow Eric!

You always reply so fast...

how often do you think they need to be cleaned? Whay you use them in stuck position?

Thanks

It needs to be cleaned almost every week or 2. I'm a lazy person, so just leave it at stuck position.

Hey Marineman!!

where did you get your TUNZE in KL?

Bought from ######, cannot find Tunze and a lot of other stuff in KL, very backward with regard to drygoods and SPS, all good and beautiful stuff goes to Singapore.

Moreover people here are not willing to spend on this hobby and knowledge level in general is poor. Will catch up one day but will take a while.

If you clean the already stuck rotating head, will it rotate again?

Yes it will......it works simply on mechanical gears rotation........often debris stuck in between the gears to prevent smooth rotating and eventually as more debris build up, the gear seize......regular cleaning will get it back to shape.
