Barlett anthias died due to lump

Recommended Posts

I have gotten a barlett anthias about 2 month ago and it was fine in the first few days eating like a pig. Then a lump started to glow on its side near the tail area. The lump gets bigger over few days and eventually turn white color (with the fish scale so stretched). The lump seems to be growing from within the fish body. It does not look like external parasite. <_<

The next thing I know is that the lump is dissolved (or being eaten by the shrimps while the barlett is still alive) and left a big hole on the side of the poor barlett! The poor fish manage to survive for another day, afterwhich it died :(

Any idea what happen? The rest of my fishes are fine and healthy.
