Need ID on pinky stuff!

Hi all,

found something growing on my return pipe's opening despite the super strong current from it ( using a Eheim 1262 )... Its pink in colour and very nice, can someone pls help ID??

if its hard to feel, it might be some form of branching Corraline Algae.

if its soft to feel, which is rather unlikely, its a form of red algae found commonly among caulerpa.

It looks a little hard to me, dun look like soft soft kindda stuff... dun wanna try touching it as i'm afraid it might break.... been growing bigger and bigger and it's arousing my curisosity!!

Can star polyps grow without a rock surface??? I never had star-polyps in my tank b4...

bro,

looks like a Distichopora sp. (lace coral) usually comes with the lr. especially tonga branch rock.

no need extra care. just let it be. very nice pink hue. common colors are blue and purple.

Does look like a lace coral. It may cause a reaction to those with sensitive skin. Don't brush your inner wrist on it.
