Sea Lab Formula 28

saw this white tablet at a LFS

says it is sea lab formula 28

did a search on the internet and this is what i found

"Restores and maintains the concentration of calcium, strontium and all trace elements at the same levels found in the sea, automatically. Formula #28 always works, and cannot be overdosed. This is not a slow-dissolve or time-release product. It dissolves only to replace depleted elements"

anyone used it before??

i am currently testing it

seems fine so far been using it for 2 weeks

advantage : save time

Disadvantage : costly

Observation : I realise its doesnt really maintain my calcium

I'm currently using it too... good for supplementing trace supplements but don't depend on it to maintain your calcium and kh as they drop too much for sealab 28 to maintain. Sealab 28 will 'sizzle' to replace trace elements when they are low.. and stop when everything is balanced.

I know someone who depend on sealab28 to replace trace elements as he don't change water very often. Something like once every 6months or 1 year.

I think still need to change water but at a much longer interval instead of weekly, fortnight or monthly.

Maybe six month or yearly as commented by Ekia understanding from his friend.

If u need to change water so as to remove nitrates... there's no way u can escape.. however, if u r changing water just replenish trace elements.. maybe u can reduce the frequency by a bit
