Clownfish identification

Hi,

Could someone help to describe how to differential or identify male and female maroon clownfish?

I found that they are fighting each other. I heard the only way to stop fighting is to put a pair or two pairs of male and female together.

You heard wrong, when they sai a pair, it means a mated pair and not any pair, that's why they will fight, better take one off, it may fight to death.

I believe male is more colourful and they do change ###### from time to time, maybe other reefers can also confirm this.

If I did'nt remember wrongly clownfish are born sexless. As they grow they all become males. The most dominant male will then change ###### into a female. In a clownfish heirachy if the only female dies the second most dominant fish (a male) will then assume the role of the female.

This situation is reversed in anthias, in which the dominant female changes into a male.

I think you got it mixed up, the largest clown will always be the female. The rest of the clownfish sch will be males, so its all males and 1 female
