fish rubbing its body

sometimes my goby would rub its body against the sand...why is this so ? i know its a sign of ICH but there is no white spots on my fish and also it only brushes it body like 1 time per 2 days... anyone have the same problem ?

may have some ich..

onset of it.

u may just notice just one of the many times he rubbed it.

(can't b one time in the day, u so fortunate to see it)

Feed some garlic soaked food n hope it fight the ich.

Flukes are ectoparasites which should be visible to the ###### eye. Normally they can be seen attached to the inner gills of the fish, protruding slightly.

As for brook I have made a post just below yours in the diseases thread. ;)

Always something more important than fish.

Dear friend, the reason why sometimes your goby will rub itself against surfaces and sand, its most likely to be the symthoms of FISH LICE or ANCHOR WORMS. These parasites attack your fishes throught the mouth and grills. And when (touch wood) if your fishes dies, look out for how the way it died. It will die with its mouth wide open and grills stiffly opened. And the body of the dead fish is solid hard. This is the sign of FISH LICE or ANCHOR WORMS. Medications can be purchased off the shelf in any local fish shops. I hope this would help you. Cheers!!

hmm but i think for the case of anchor worm and lice its rater visible... ihave done a rather close and observation on my fish everyday and the rubbing action is not very ofetn i am so sure of it...o what had happen ? btw thanks for the help
