How to stack rocks with eggcrates ar? wanna rescape my tank...

use pipes and make a stand, the eggcrate will be on top....so it'll look like a platform....if u need eggcrates....send me a pm...i've got lots of it....can give u for free also....or maybe can swop with something....i stay in woodlands....

First build a frame of the correct height and surface area using pvc piping (1/4~1/2" piping will do). Then fasten the eggcrates onto the piping to make a stool of sorts for your LR to sit on. Hope this helps.

I did it the most economical (but risky) way...

I used single pvc pipes for the stands, without any elbows or whatever... drilled a hole at the top then cable tied it to the eggcrates...

i.e. the whole structure is only vertical pipes and horizontal egg crate, no elbows or whatever to form a proper stool...

I then shoved the pipes into the DSB (much like how piling works)... the DSB then holds the vertical pipes in place which in place holds the eggcrate in place... it's a little shakey but otherwise has been holding my rocks up...

You can also use bamboos sticks to poke into holes of the rocks to prevent them from falling down.

I suggest a base for your pipes too otherwise they will actually be stilts and can be quite risky if placed too far apart or if too heavy stuff are stacked on them.
