Friends on SRC,

I just bought a nudibranch but not sure if it eats anything. Some looking up on the internet as well as the folks at LFS said they feed on sponge, but want to confirm this. I have 3 different varieties of sponge but it is not interested, Just walking around the tank, including the glass walls. It stopped for quite long on top of my powerhead where there is a lot of algae growing. Any idea about what to feed it?

well, they are better off in the ocean....

:D Dun worry, Power head has a filter at the inlet. It seem to take a lot of interest in my feather duster worm's tube. I wonder if it's something growing on it as well. Regarding the polka dot nudibranch, Is any LFS selling? I read abt it in a book called something about Indo-Pacific reefs.

I think nudibranchs are nice. Look like an alien.

I just got myself 2 polka dotted nudibranchs = jorunna funebris. They do eat blue sponge. It seems like they spend a long time at one spot on the blue sponge. Looks like they use some digestive enzymes to digest to sponge then suck it up rather than chew at it. Quite interesting.

Bro,

i used to have sea bunnies and trust me, they will hardly leave the blue sponge and they leave a mess if the area is not well-circulated, and u have to keep buying blue sponge, if not, they'll die... :)

My nudibranchs: They were small and did not move at all when I just got them from LFS. I think they must have been starving. It was hard to make them stick to the blue sponge I put them on, like they got no energy. After a few days, they started eating, moving around and growing. Here's a picture of one showing off his beautiful backside. ;)
