CoralPlankton and Bioplankton

Just started using the above product. Notice the dosing instruction on the bottle sound a little crazy

CoralPlankton

For mature reef 1 pump every 10 gallon daily

BioPlankton

1 pump every 30 gallon daily

Did that for the first day.

My tank 100gallon, so 10 pumps of Coral and 3 pumps of Bio

My god the water in my tank is green ok, like really green. Imagine doing that every day.

I feel there is something really wrong with the dosing instruction.

Can any bro/sis who use this product comment on this??

i usually pump once to the syringe....then dilute it w my tank water ...then inject it around the corals n clams......me also have 100gallon tank but w 1 pump water nvr turn green lor

ever read somewhere here...to start w 1 pump for 1st few dayz if not wrong......mayb u can search around.....

I pump once every nite for bioplankton for my 75G...but then again my load very very light...

Try starting slow like one squirt of both every 2 days or so. Slowly increase the dosing to the recommended level maybe over a period of a few months. Esp important for bioplankton as initially your tank might not have the maximum amount of filter feeders. For coralplankton you should be able to judge via the amount of corals you have. If you have lots of sps then just go for the maximum recommended dosage. That's wat I do.

Heh..if I had an AquaC or a beckett I would follow maybe 60-80% of the maximum dosage? But since my skimmer is not that good compared to becketts, etc I just follow 1/3 the stated dosage. Think point is to start slow, then slowly increase, cutting down when you observe the beginnings of diatom or algae bloom.

Think I'll continue with my 3 pumps daily for 1 week and then increase to 6 then 10.

pokkai? Why didn't you complain when you bought your ric collections? I am sure they cost a bomb.

I have insider info that your tank is explosive in real. Better than what the pics depict.

Bro, rics collection is one off lah. But seriously if the dosage stated is as per required, I don't mind but if it do more harm than good then..........
