Trapping unwanted fish

Recommended Posts

I left a small blue damsel in my 3 ft tank when I started. It has now grow to more than an inch and it has become a nuisance in the tank. It kill several of the smaller fish. I just cant get it out of the tank. I try with those fish trap but it just wouldnt go in. I am getting frustrated and helpless. . It seem I need to break down the tank to catch it but I am not prepare to do it for several reasons. Anyone have good suggestion or experience to share? Tks.

well you can try using one of those clear plastic bags that lfs use for packing.

place some food in it and place it into the tank.

you may have to do it several for the damsel to get use to it and slowly get bolderand swim into it.

i caught mine out after 1 and half hours.

try to treat it humanly by giving away or selling. in my opinion i am strongly against feeding it to a predatory fish.

responsible reefing

Poor damsel.....I have a 4 stripped, a domino and a jewel damsel from my 2 footer and I ban them from my new tank......but I am also reluctant to give away.....Sigh!.....have been with me since the first day I started the hobby! I wonder how would I feel if I am that damsel...... :(

My Mdm wanted the domino but I refuse to put into my new tank and we end up..... <_<

Anyway too bad, these fishes are too agressive....Sigh!
