true also..but in a way helps the thread stay up there to get more publicity...higher chance of attracting potential buyers :)

anyway, although a tad old at 3 years..but i am sure there is still alot of life left in the teco to serve another owner....upz for the chiller, hope it gets a new owner soon :)

I think this is considered spamming and trying to earn post. Well, we have no business here so better just keep quiet. Let nature takes its course, be more environmental.

anyway ben, maybe alot of useless chat here like bro deepblue say which i agree as well....but wat good is there trying to earn post? can convert to money issit?

anyway, back to topic...let me contribute something for bro riot on the teco chiller :)

at least prospective buyers can see how much this chiller can pull down in relation to tank size.....add some discounting factor yourselves due to non ideal operating conditions ;)

the chart is for testing result from the maker and hence not accurate at the buyer's tank. It depends on all the heat generation equipments in the buyer's systems.

In case the prospective buyer wants to put into a cabinet....take note of the pic attached below:

RA680 have an air intake grille at the back of the unit and an air outlet grille at the front of the unit.

The coolers should be placed with these ventilation grilles in alignment with those of the cabinet, as shown in the above diagram and the ventilation grille at the back of the unit should be placed as close as possible to the grille of the cabinet.

If the cabinet does not have built in ventilation grilles then they will need to be made, allowing a minimum surface area of at least 400 cm2 for the passage of air. When making these grilles, be sure to bear in mind that the air intake grille (marked "A" above) should be exactly aligned with the ventilation grille on the back of the unit, while the air outlet grille (marked "B" above) should be placed as high as possible.

To ensure that water going through the cooler is clean, it is important that the hose which takes water from the aquarium is placed after the mechanical filtration system so that it only takes in filtered water.

If you see below...hot air is blowing out of the hoses side, meaning it's RA680, if the cold air is drawn from the hoses side and hot air blown out in reverse direction to the pic below, then its the TW6 model

barring any further confirmation from bro riot, we take it as RA680 first :)

For depicted use below :)

Installation next to an aquarium with an external filter

1. Make sure that the cooler is placed in a well ventilated location, away from sources of heat and that there is at least a 20cm gap between the ventilation grilles and the wall or any other item.

2. The cooler should be situated below or on a level with the aquarium and as close as possible to the aquarium to avoid having to use long water connection hoses.

3. Never place the chiller on carpet, rugs or any other similar items as this particular unit takes in air underneath the unit and this operation could be compromised if positioned on such a surface.

Installation next to an aquarium with a mechanical filter

1. Installation procedure is exactly the same as for installing the cooler next to an aquarium with an external filter but the water intake hose ("1") goes straight into the cooler.

2. To ensure that water going through the cooler is clean, it is important that the hose which takes water from the aquarium is placed after the mechanical filtration system so that it only takes in filtered water.

bro riot, hope these info will hasten your sale and save you some aftersales service in case the buyer needs these placement info :)

For setting the chiller thermostat :)

After pressing the SET key, the indicator light "6" will appear for a few seconds to indicate that the programming function is enabled and the previously set temperature will appear in the display.

Press the up and down keys ("3" and "4") to change to the desired temperature, and then confirm the value by pressing the SET key again. The new temperature should appear in the display.

The indicator light "5" shows that the indicator is working.

Please note that there is a pre-set differential of 2o C above the temperature set by the user in model RA2000 and 1oC above the temperature set by the user in all other models.
