hi guys,have heard somewhere that actually it is possible to use LED to act as a MH by using many led bulbs..the out put will be as bright as the mh too.

wonder if it is true as it will be not hot at all..and i think more energy saving.

Hmm...how many LEDS do you think is enough to generate the intensity that a single MH is providing?

Moreover, changing a single LED is more difficult than changing a single MH bulb.

LEDs can nvr match the light intensity produce by a MH. When one or two LED blows, u have to go thru the hassle of desoldering and soldering back. Heat wise will be considerably low but wats the point....they r not capable of sustainin a reef tank. FOWLR still can consider but not worth the hassle to diy coz of the amt of work nd to be dn as well as future maintainenace ;)
