My durso is below water level

Part of the durso is always submerged to prevent it from taking in air from the main inlet. This is to reduce ###### noise. The top of the durso is above water so it can breathe unless you run an airline, the durso air hole must be in the air.

Your return pumps are too strong for your overflow. You need to use smaller pumps or larger overflows.

Have you tried just switching on 1 return pump first and see if its ok.

If the level is ok then switch the other on.

If not working when the 2 pumps on then the answer is obvious.

Below is an example of the water level.

Use to have this problem too. This is caused by too much air is sucked through the hole on the end cap. To resolve, put 1ft of air hose/tube (commonly used for air pump) into the hole then adjust the airflow by pushing the tube down into durso. The more you push the less air is sucked and more water will go down the durso. Play with it and don't forget to leave enough air tube outside the durso.. Another way to do it is to use airvalve. I found this not very easy to adjust.

You may also need to reduce the water pumped back into the main tank.

Cheers,
