Salt mix with tapwater

Has anyone tried fowlr with tapwater instead of rodi?

Yes, i do that. I put anti- chlorine and mix with salt. Air bubble over 1 nite after the salt sediments settled down, then i do water change.

My own experience does not mean will work for everyone. But sharing is no harm.
I used tap water since day 1 for my soft and LPS tank. Also dosed anti chlorine and use a cheap wave maker to mix the salt mix. This is done usually one day before the water change day.

So far so good for the last 8 months. Just minor algae growth which I think is because of the daily feeding routine which comprises 4 cubes of mysis and pellets.
Only nutrient export option used is a 24 by 7 hr Chaeto based refugium.
Also have a strong team of about 50 snails which every night graze the algae.

Mine is a 322. Yes, i think chiller will make Corals and fishes happier in SG weather, maintain at 27.0 from 5am to 7pm.

24 by 7 means 24hrs by 7 days.
In short, it never shuts down.

Used ro before. But changed to tap water with dechlorine. Works great and save ro time
