Monti foliosa colour change. The top was taken in Jan 04 & the bottom Apr 04.

I got 3 opinions on this change:

1) bleached

2) (hater of brownies prefer this colour) better colour condition with improved environment

3) water that is low in nutrients, result in lower density of zoox, and therefore lighter colour

"Montipora can be distinguished from Acropora because of the presence of the axial coralite in Acropora. Montipora is harder to distinguish from Porites.

Montipora capricornis tends to plate and grow whorls." - Tanzy (oct 2002)

no thanx lah. i love the pink bird's nest. so far still ok looking. hope it will stabilise and recover.

Saw it in person.....it's an unbelievable pastel PINK..........super chio... :shock:
