Yellow head Jaw Fish Committed Suicide

This morning found my yellow head jaw fish lying motionless on the floor ....wat could be the reason, thats the only fish i have in my 2 feet tank and water parameter is ok kept for about 3weeks 50 bucks flung

I hv heard similar stories b4....... u r not the only one........ juz make do with a hood for ur new tank if u intend to prevent such mishaps from happening in the future. esp with jawfish, firefish and certain gobies.....

Hmmm..mine has'nt jumped out yet..maybe cause my water level quite low from the top of the tank..

Dont worry....very normal.....they must be curious about breathing air!!!

I too have countless of such incident, my anthias, marble shrimp and my most costly golden damsel ($28) all died that way......because I do not have a hood!!!

My bi color benny nearly died that way too.....lucky I was admiring my tank during the incident! Heng Ah........Cute fish.......still around!

So dont worry!
