New setup - basic..1st time.

Protein skimmer, maybe wave maker and cooling fan/chiller. Very fresh water feel. Depends on what u intend to keep, the setup can be different. Livestock... Where do u stay? Easily accessible LFS by mrt.... Pinnacle, ah beng, clementi polyart, etc.

Skimmer : BK SM200 with waste collector

Return Pumps : Red Dragon 6m3 and Ehiem 1262

FR : 2 X Deltec 509 & powered by AB2000

Nitrate Filter : Deltec NF 509 and tee off from AB2000

Calcium R'tor : Deltec PF 501 with RM secondary chamber

Kalkwasser R'tor : Deltec KM500

Chiller : Pansonic 1 HP Compressor with 20m titanium Coil

Wave Makers : 4 X Tunze 6055 with 7096 & Vortec MP40w

Controller : GHL Profilux

Lighting : ATI Powermodule 10 or 8 tubes

Water Top-up : Water Top-Up tank powered by Tunze Osmolator

I'm stay in woodlands. Yes, im using Protein skimmer, wave marker and cooling fan. next im looking for rocks. don't know what kind of rocks is ok for me to have fish and soft corals. yesterday i went to Fresh n marine only saw caribsea life rock i think around $80+.

Buy from ppl who decom. Yr tank glass panel is ard 8mm? Maybe thin and beware of the risk. If u intend to go cycling... No need Live rock.... Live rock to speed up cycling and depending on source, may have unwanted stuff.

my tank only 5mm.. oh what kind of risk ? oic.. so live or non live also can. my water run 4 days already...still can't find anything to put.

Rocks really so ex ?

Depends where u go and type. Yr tank not very big right.... Run thr how u want to scape and lookout for the rocks.

You can try getting rocks from fellow reefers. Some sell em’ cheap due to decomm but be wary sometimes it’s because of other issues you may not know of.. like parasites/contamination etc hahaha

I would suggest that you buy something like maxspect nanoplates and bury it just under ur sand bed.

Not sure whether nano plate is suitable to bury under sandbed. Read up to understand placement of such biomedia to ensure maximum effectiveness. Some require high flow while others mild and low light. Can consider dried rocks. Do use other platforms to buy your rocks...for 58 dollar, think u can buy 3ft worth of rocks from those decomming... Do consider second items for start and only invest once you are serious in this hobby.

Tomorrow i will go find some Eco rocks. the white color kind. don't know good or not. last time i saw it before and sell around $30 for 20cm.
 
U can go ah beng there to check out the rock. They got sell those $10/kg. Nego with them, they can give u better price.
