Yes, it is cheap in Hong Kong, don't know why also. Maybe the local Iwaki Singapore have their own market for Chemical Industry applications and not interested in Aquarium applications.

Don't quote me but the cheapest Iwaki MD55 in Hong Kong is about $300+ only. If ValueAir goes there the return ticket plus buying the pump is same as the price in Singapore......free hoilday!

i checked at some website. not sure abt the shipping. cos the pump itself is ard S$140 for MD 40...will double check....maybe i see wrongly...

Cheap initial cost is one thing, running cost is the other matter. Are you prepared to run 200+W out of 1 pump?

Pumps that are good flow but low wattage do not come cheap. Again depends on application, do you need pressure rated or normal etc.
