250w x 8hr x 30days = 60KW.

So around 10 bucks.

you forgot to factor in cost for keeping the water cool

if you are running a chiller.

IMO,

its the chiller thats the killer, not the lights.

that is assuming you are using a chiller.

i was using 2 250W bulbs till

i switched one side off...

my elect bill only went down by $30

For MH lights, the losses due to heat is about 40-50%% for every wattage. Therefore the total wattage for 250W = 250 + 50% = 375W

Electrical Bills = 375 x 8 x 0.1544 x 30 /1000 = $14
