Desirable/ undesirable features: Useful in reef aquariums. Toxic or harmful to fishes. Reef safe.

tango, when u mentioned that it is harmful to fishes, i think u referring to the fact that it is harmful to fishes that tried to bite it and not fish only tank.

Let us work together to preserve the world for our children to inherit by being responsible to our surroundings. Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints, bubbles and memories.

It is harmful to fishes.. So if you have fishes, recommend you dunn get one in your tank.. Because once the cucumber feels a threat, it will release its toxins.. Even if it accidentally crawl into your PH or overflow chamber, it will do the same thing.. Or even when you try to take it out of the tank.. So if you have fishes, try not to put one in your tank..

ahhh....so not so good to have such blackie.... :o

so aquarium size doesn't really matters...but i thk i still will forget such toxic creature...can't imagine it releasing toxins and kill all my fishes

Dodo.... don't panic.

The black one is the same exact one we eat during chinese dinners.

When they say reef-safe cukes are toxic to fish, it may be other forms of warfare... ie. puking out their intestines which the fish will eat instead of them... and that is toxic to fish.

Reef-safe cukes are only two species. Donkey dung and tiger-tails.

Any other species like the sea apples (highly toxic) and the more colourful sea cukes are not guarantees as they may release toxins when stressed or when they die.

Just get the right kinds and you will be safe.
