Will whitened portion maze brain recover

Hi guys..

Have a maze brain of which a small portion was in the shadows for some time and as such has begun to turn white. The brown ridge portions are white but the middle lime green is still there.

I've tilted it such that the white areas are getting light as well now... the thing now is... is it too late for the brain to recover?

isit under direct MH???? put it lower... loocks bleaching... coral may bleah if light is too intense tooo

Lower ah?? Oooo.. Hm.. I thought higher.. but the portion that bleached was the part that was under the lights leh...

I moved it higher up a little to make sure it gets light all around... so far it LOOKS like it's turning a little brown again but then I'm not entirely sure... shucks...

No lah.. haven't had diatoms since donno how long liao... I HOPE HOPE HOPE that its the brain recovering.. *crosses fingers and toes*

lighting is the main problem.

have the lighting to shine on all areas. If u want to recover it fast, have ur Ca increase to 420ppm, decrease NO3 level, maintain temperature to 27C highest limit. U have to top up a lot of trace elements too.

Moved it up to where the light is better already, will beef up Ca levels, NO3 (tough one) will carry out water change.. temp trying to keep it low without turning my room into an oven... trace elements dosed...

try to maintain NO3 below 10ppm. but 5 ppm will be best.

no choice if u have to frequent water change. U can decrease bio load too

Happy to inform that my brain is on the road to recovery... can see the colour coming back already..
