Test Kits for 4 mth tank

Any advice on the test kits needed for my mature 4 mth old reef tank.

calcium, dkh, alk, nitrate. pH should be the basic ones.

phosphate test kits...IMO are supplementary...meaning to say if you have too much $ to spend & dunno wea to spend...then buy it :D if not...u can conveniently ignore it

U can tell from your tank when phosphates are high. But it is always good to have a PO4 test kit also.

quite agree...i keep a look out at my algae growth

- What is e normal/ healthy grow rate of algae in the tank. Mine (patches of them) seems to appear every 2 days.

- Any recommended brands for the test kit (Seachem is super expensive, those taiwan made one are cheap, but wonder about their quality).
