New Skimmer overflowing and creating micro bubbles

Hi, I recently added IM Ghost Skimmer (Desktop) to my Nuvo 10 and left it power on.. it has been overflowing and creating micro bubbles for 24 hours already.

 

Should I be concerned? Or this is expected?

I’m not sure if I’m right. But I think I read somewhere that micro bubbles are not a good thing for marine tanks. Theses bubbles will get lodge in the corals and their flesh will receede.

Good thing I have not added corals to my tank! Will check on it once I reach home!

Realised that it could be because my water level too high.. when I lower the water level, the foaming seems smoother

New skimmer is like that, I am using the bubbles magus C7 when I first use it, it produces a lot of mirco bubbles and overflow. After about 2 weeks it become normal. Use something to cover your air intake will stop the overflow.

Yup new skimmer will react in this manner. Sometimes when you dose certain supplements the skimmer will also go crazy.

If its new buy, its take at least a week to break it. And will become normal. But if after so long still like that. I guess its faulty product. And my one is the same problem.
